Round OneAttack roll = 4 successesYou move in steathily, coming up behind the guard, he begins to turn, but you drive the dagger into his back, feeling it cut deep into his flesh. You twist the blade, opening the wound further, before pulling back. He screams out in pain with the sick crunch of the blade turning, and staggers forward, slowly turning. His left hand withdraws from inside his jacket, producing a small revolver, which he levels at you.

Big nastly beast, die!Nicolai tries to push the revolver away with one hand while repeatedly stabbing him, hoping he dies before getting his hand free.

You rush into him, knocking the revolver out of the way*, and pull back your arm, thrusting it into him again.
*It's no longer pointing at you, but it's still in his hand
2+3+1+2+2-2=8; 4 successes
You feel the knife scrape up under his ribs, causing him to yell again, before slowly going limp. You pull out your blade, and crouch down slightly.

Nicolai picks up the revolver, puting it in his jacket pocket, walks quickly to the circuit box and cuts off all the power then to the downstairs phone, takes it off the hook and listens for a moment.

The one light on the ground floor (the stairs/hall) that was on goes out. You pick up the phone in the loungue (the only one you've seen), and hear the standard dialing tone.

The door at the top of the stairs is closed again, and there's no sign of anything unusual on the stairs.

He goes outside and walks around the house, looking at the windows.

You can see 4 windows on the upper floor, 2 front, 2 back. All are closed, and two (the back ones) have light rimming the edge of the curtains.

It's quite an akward position, and you end up slicing into the magnet's plastic coating, but you manage to cut the wire.
You hear a shrill alarm start to sound outside the house, warbling loudly.

You head out to the front of the house, and rapidly scan it for the an alarm. It takes you a minute to pinpoint the source of the noise, but eventually you see it.
The noise appears to be coming from what looks like, and you had thought was, a vent extractor, just next to the bottom of the upper floor windows.

Nicolai, goes back inside, picks up his improvised tripping tool and takes it out to the siren box, loops the cord around it and tries to pull it off the wall.
Willpower
Once it's off the wall, he'll use his blade to cut the wires.

Your handy tool loops round quite nicely, and it's easy to pull the wretched device off the wall. The shock seems to yank most of the wires out as well, saving you a job.
Cheap piece of crap
You enjoy a second piece with the alarm now shut off.
