Sorry, that was my bad, i factored in the vitae boost, then missed the gun bonus, rolled the extra dice, and factoring in the extra success.
You lunge forward, trying to grab the knife. Must grapple He sidesteps you, and you go past him, him spinning, trying to stick the knife in your back, but you're back and ready quick enough to avoid. The old guy comes at you again, but you similarly avoid his thrusting fist.

The old guy is pissing me off, but I'll handle him after I finish off this sucker. If I can put this ass into torpor, at least for a few moments, I can handle his friend. The Kiss'll be more than enough to deal with a ghoul. I've got to end this quick. This fight's taking more out of me than I'd like. I fire again at my attacker, hoping this shot'll be the end all. I allow my blood to begin sealing my wounds. If I didn't believe so strongly in my purpose, I'd have blown this pop stand long ago.

I'm assuming it's a called shot to the head again, right, if you're hoping to deal lethal damage?
You pull the trigger, and watch the fire of the barrel spout out at him. The bullet hits between his neck and his shoulder, but isn't much of a wound. He screams out in pain, and staggers back to the far wall, away from you.
Firearms roll= 1 success
His voice comes hoarse and shaky.
"All...alright, let's just...talk...for a...moment."
He slides down the wall, into a sitting position, still clutching the knife still. The old guy hangs back, as if not sure how to react, and what to do.

He wants to talk. If I were alive I know I'd have a hell of a headache and be in a whole world of hurt. As it stands now, I allow my Vitae to begin healing the gash I was given.
"I should put your ass in torpor for this. Did I not give you the option of doing this the easy way?"
That's when I take a glance at his friend.
"Is he cool?" I ask my mark, gesturing my head at the old guy. The Masquerade is sacred and I'm not about to be the one to. Though considering his head's nearly blown off, I'm assuming
((1 Vitae to heal. Question, when feeding from a Ghoul, you take blood, not the vitae in their system, correct? And if you take the vitae, is it considered neutral for the purposes of Vinculum?))

I don't think the blood they intake for vitae stays in their system, just the 'power' that it gives...i think. Either way, it doesn't affect viniculum, it's just like feeding off a mortal.
"Yeah, he's cool. So, whats the scheme from here?"

"First, I call up my boys and tell them you're ready to cooperate. While we're waiting for them, you can tell me what you did to piss off the Lance. If you play nice, I may try to keep them from going corporal on your lousy ass."
I take a look at his ghoul and frown. I'd love to feed off of something prettier than that, but the hunger calls and in my mood, fighting the Beast is hard enough as is.
"I need a snack. Cooperate and you'll make it out alive. I can guarantee you'll like it either way."
As I wait for him to come over to me, I pull out my cell and call Michael.
"I got 'em here and he's ready to cooperate. We had a little scuffle so you might want to pick him up."

"We'll be over there pronto."
The ghoul comes over, but as he gets closer, he hangs back slightly. You're ready for him, and prepare to feed.
How much blood are you planning to take?

I allow my blood to finish healing my wounds as I bite into the ghoul. The blood tastes so great, so warm, so powerful. Once I've had my fill I lick the wounds shut and push him away.
"I'd get out before my people get here. I have no idea what they'll do to you."
Then I turn to his master.
"Start talking."
The hunger's not killing me, but I'm still not feeling quite myself. I need a rest, or something to up my mood.
((1 Vitae to heal and I'll take 6 Vitae, as long as it doesn't drain him dry.))

He chuckles slightly.
"Well, to cut a long story short, i betrayed the Lance to another Covenent, the Dragons. Sold 'em out, you might say. The Dragons had me working undercover, a double agent for them, but i got found out. Luckily, i was able to get clear, and stay low for a while. Figured i'd almost made it through. Now it looks like i was wrong."

He tells me his story and as he speaks its all I can do to reign the Beast in. I figured he'd just pissed a higher up off and they deemed him heretical. But this ass actually betrayed us. Betrayed God and his purpose.
"And you're not the least bit repentant?"
It's a struggle to keep my voice even as I speak.

He frowns slightly.
"You know, i've been trying to keep my head above water on this for so long, i've never even thought about it. Yeah, i guess, if i went back, i wouldn't do the same thing again, but that may well be just because i'm lying here where i am now, rather than any degree of altruism."

"Who cares about you're motives? You know better now and that's a start. If you renounce your allegiance to the Dragons, I may be able to keep you alive."
I sit on the table watching him and the doorway.
"Of course, then you'd owe me big."

He breaks off, and gazes at the ceiling for a few minutes, with you leaving him to it. He then looks back at you, and speaks.
"How big? I'm hardly overly keen on being sent to final death, and my alligance to the Dragons isn't that strong, but i've hesitations about being in a major debt."

"Your obligation would be based on the second stage of the Vinculum, for the next decade. You wouldn't be as pathetic as your ghoul, but I'd have your loyalty guaranteed."
The Lance frowns upon the Vinculum, but it's hardly banned and isn't nearly as bad as ghouling animals. With him under my sway, I could ensure his dedication to God's purpose. I could teach him other things to. Let him see the Light, even if it is through a cracked lense.
"At the moment, you could certainly do worse. I just want to ensure you learn something from this."
And having an agent wouldn't hurt. Not at all.

He looks away, and keeps moving his head around, as if annoyed, or in shock. He keeps muttering to himself for a few minutes. You leave him to it; you know he'll come around, and, if not, well, his loss.
He finally turns and looks you in the eyes again.
"So, let me just get this straight; Viniculum, or Final Death, right? If that's the case, i hardly have a fucking choice then, do I? But you'd better fucking get me cleared with the Sanctified."
