You arrive at the boardroom in this order: Treyvon Wic John
After about 10 more minutes of small-talk between the 5 of you, or rather 4, given that the woman doesn't say a word the whole time, Jessie appears at the door, and is greeted by Michael in the same way as each of you.
Feel free to carry on a bit of general discussion if you wish. I should be able to check in tomorrow, to move things on a bit.

Wic is now dressed in denim painter's pants, brown leather work boots, a denim shirt and black cotton jacket that hangs to his hips. His hair is slicked back.
Wic looks around the table, "I am pleased that we were successful.", his gaze lingers on the woman, then rests on Michael. He obviously has more to say but seems to be waiting for Michael or the woman to speak on their own.

I give a chuckle. Even if he is a Haunt, I've got to say I'm getting to like Wic. Well, as much as the Beast will allow me to.
"You're pleased? I definately owe you guys one."
Hopefully I won't have to pay them back in the same way. I spent too much of my life in violence.

I smile and nod. "Yea that was some kind of fun. There were a few close calls there. But I see that we all made out ok."

Michael makes a noise half way between a "Hum" and a "Hmmm"
He pauses briefly, and stands up.
"So then, i feel it is time to move business onto the reason that we are all here. What will be proposed here tonight will be lucrative, probably financially, but certainly regarding status. However, it is not altogether without risk. By listening, however, you are not subscribing to any contract. There are no strings attached."
he pauses momentarily, to allow his words to sink in.
"The information that we now have, courtesy of Ms. Honor here" he indicates the woman, "is the whereabouts of the two remaining members of the group behind the attack on Prince Vidal. We are both very confident that this is information that Vidal does not yet have. While it might not be altogether prudent not to inform him of this right away, i feel that, if we handle the matter very carefully, we can use their aprehension to attain great personal prestige."
He pauses once again, this time for slightly longer, looking everyone in the room, sitting in rapt attention, straight in the eyes.
"Our organisation and timing has been such that we can make the first move, against one of the two, tonight, if you all are so willing. What do you all say?"

So much for having a relaxing night.
"Tonight?"
Mike is right. This could be lucrative and the others are competant enough to pull this off.
"Unfortunately Michael, I think I'll have to take you up on your offer. What do you need me to do?"

So much for remaining apolitical... Points with the right big people are always good, but I wouldn't want to put all my money on a sinking ship ...again.
Wic looks thoughtfully to Trey and back to Michael, "What do you know about who they work for and their motivations behind the attack?"
They could be right!
"Before I throw my lot in with one side in a war, I need to know what there is to be known. Who are my new enemies going to be and why?"

Michael smiles and shakes his head.
"Very prudent and understandable, but i don't think you need worry. As far as we have seen, the conspiritors were operating as a small independent cell. They all come from the same covenant, but, as far as we can see, they were operating independently, at least at this stage. Best guess seems to be that, in taking down Vidal, they were hoping that one of their factions could take advantage of the power vacuum, because, realistically, none of them would have had the clout to take over the top job."
"Besides, you're not really throwing your lot in with the Prince, you're just reading between the lines of his speech, and hunting down these criminals against the structure of kindred society, and could stand to gain from it."

Wic smiles his too-wide smile and half nods, half rocks, seemingly happy with the response. "And if there were nothing else, I have inertia carrying me into this now. I am in."
He looks for the other's reaction then cocks his head to the side for a moment obviously remembering something, "The covenant. You said they are all of the same covenant." He punctuates the implied question with a raised eyebrow.

Michael hesitates slightly before answering, steepling his fingers.
"I'm afraid i'm not privy to the information of which covenant. The Prince is keeping that pretty tight-up, for the obvious reasons, but he has made it clear that the 'cell' was operating independent of the covenant, and that they are co-operating in this situation. Therefore, by engaging in conflict with these 'criminals', you won't be engaging in conflict with their covenant."

Wic responds, "...In theory. But still good enough for me. I am still in."
He leans back, gives a meaningful not to Trey and glances around at the others.

I nod back at Wic, watching him a moment longer before glancing at Jess then John. What were they going to do. At this point, the pros seemed to outweigh the cons. For me, at least, there is a lot to gain. I hope my...coterie feels the same. Wic and myself are capable, but it never hurts to have some extra backup.

Jessie speaks, though [Trey] you notice her voice sounds slightly unsure.
"I'll go along with this for tonight, and see where we stand after that."
Michael Frowns slightly, but doesn't say anything. All eyes now turn to John.
I've emailed artman again, and if he's not acted by the end of the day, i'll take over him. Feel free to post in reaction to this post.

After a long pause, John finally nods, in silent assent.
Michael smiles and stands again.
"Well then, we've got a little time before we have to move. You should all go and get yourself ready. Be expecting a fight, we're not sure on exactly what security our target's got. We'll need transport. Marla and myself can take two of you, but the others will have to arrange a car of some kind themselves."
He walks around the table, heading for the door.
"I'll meet you all outside the old theatre in an hour and a half. We'll be in the red SUV."
He opens the door, and steps out.

I nod and wave as Mike leaves though I take another glance at Jess. Just why was she hesitating?
"So, let's figure out who's going with who. We also need to make sure everyone's packing enough heat for what's to come."
I lean back in my seat, my hands behind my head.
"I, unfortunately, don't have a car at the moment."
