"Fun."
It's not exactly sarcastic, though, it's pretty close. I help the others move the crate out of the way.

Dragging the crate out of the way doesn't require too much effort, as it's empty and pretty light. When it's moved, you see that the light was coming from between the floorboards under the crate. There isn't really enough of a gap to look between them, but, examining the floorboards shows that there is a 'crease' round the outside, implying that a section of the floorboards can be removed or shifted in some way.

Wic glances around at the others and then goes to work on the boards.
Looks like it's showtime.

I ready my gat, pointing at the passage Wic is trying to uncover, just in case. I meet his glance and nod, then spare one to John to make sure he's ready.

The floorboard comes up quite easily - it's been made a single, removable section, and you see down to the room below. There's a fairly big room, filling at least the size of the room you're in now, above it. There're a few crates, like the one you moved, against the walls, unopened. Liberal trails of liquid run all over the floor, focusing on a central point, where stands a woman, dressed in tattered rags, which look soaked themselves. A watering can lies, tossed aside, at her feet, and she's holding a small metal object in her hand.
She turns as the floorboards come away.
"Hello boys."
The two of you holding shooters should have clear shots.

Wic really wants to see what she is holding; he squints his eyes with the effort, then sniffs the air.
This could be not good. This could be really bad. Don't be gas. Don't be a lighter, or worse a grenade!

I smell oil!, Wic yells as he backs away.

You've got to be kidding me. My Beast tells me to run right then and there, but that may not be necessary.
"Look, baby, no need to burn the place down. Lets settle this civilly. We all may be able to walk out of here alive."
Relatively. As I speak I try to draw her into me...all of them really. The others being there don't help though. In fact, they're stretching me kind of thin. If she wasn't covered in lighter fluid I'd pop a cap in her faster than it takes me to finish this thought. But since she is, we need a little finesse.
"Lower your lighter and we'll lower our guns."
I start to do just that, though if she pops that bad boy open, I'm out of here.
(Using Awe. Spending 1 Willpower.)

Wic is not his usual self at the moment. You're used to him being quite aggressive and/or careful. This is the first time you see him react with fear. He nearly stumbles as he backs away from the opening. Though the Beast in him hasn't made him flee, there could be some inner conflict on that topic at the moment.
The woman takes a few steps toward the trap door to get a better view of Trey but frowns and continues to hold the lighter at the ready.
(Trey rolls 8 dice to Awe six people (used WP) 2 successes 6,1,5,4,9, 9,2,5))
Everyone looks to Trey to see how he will handle the situation.
((Everyone is Awed but it certainly doesn't mean you cannot act.
I'll run John until he rejoins us.))
John stands in a firing stance aiming at the woman. He seems disconcerted at Wic's reaction but then looks to Trey for direction/leadership.

Seeing I've got everyone's attention I lower my gun a bit more. If I were mortal I'm sure my heart would be beating out of my chest right now.
"Let's start with names. I'm Trey. And you are?"
My tone is as soothing as I can make it, the blood will do the rest. My eyes plead with her to comply.

She smiles a sad smile at Trey, "Snow. Kristen Snow. Are you going to come down here and join me, Trey?" She holds what looks like a zippo lighter in one hand and with a sniff, anyone can confirm Wic's discovery that the liquid on the celler floor and soaking her clothing is a petrolium based fuel of some sort.

"Kristen Snow. That's a pretty name. I wish we weren't meeting in a situation like that, but there doesn't have to be a situation, does it?"
I try to keep my tone from being patronizing. If I keep talking to her I'm sure, I can resolve this situation with minimum bloodshed. The bitch is gonna die one way or the other; I just want to make sure we get done what we need to.
"Kristen, I'll come down if you drop the lighter. I don't think you really want to do this. You know there's no glory in this. You're not being a martyr; you're just scared. You think you know what you have to do, but setting us all on fire isn't the way to do that, bay. What could you have possibly done that you feel like suicide is the only way out?"
She's already drawn into me. The others being around will probably freak her out a bit more about telling, but since she's already in my net, a little bit of blood should be all I need to get her talking. We get the information we need, she calms down and gets relief. Hopefully it's a win/win.
((1 Vitae. Using Revelation now.))

Her eyes flutter a bit as there is a moment of resistance. But the moment passes and she begins to speak in a voice full of regret and passion, "We were trying to put the Order into position to control the city, but the Prince was too hard a target for us." With shaking hands she starts to fiddle with the lighter. If you hadn't found me I'm sure the Sworn of the Axe would have."
At this point, Wic has regained his composure and is trying without success to get eye contact with her, then when he sees her actually moving to light the lighter, he closes his eyes for a second and everyone feels an eerie cold fear enter them...
Her body shakes and she can't quite bring herself to light the lighter. "Argh!" she cries. Tears of blood now run down her cheeks.
((Trey rolls 7 die to use Revelation (1 success) vs Kristen Snow's 7 dice to resist (0 successes). Trey is successful, she spills it.))
((Wic uses Willpower to fill the area with Dread: 2 successes vs. Kristen Snow's 7 dice to resist (1 success). She is affected. vs. Trey's 5 dice to resist (2 successes). He resists. vs. John's 3 dice to resist (0 successes). He is affected.))
