I'm increasingly aware just how stilted i'm making some of this, so i'm going to skip some way ahead, after any re-meeting with Cornelius and Jason. Due to the exact activities of the other characters, it's hard to move them to meet you, or vice-versa, but i'm going to put you in a suitable position for when they finish up. See new thread.
