"Ah. A Lance party. I see.
"No problem. Jessie and I can get better aquainted."
He raises a questioning eyebrow at her.
Finally, a chance to learn about Dragons in America."

The man remains seated and shows no sign of getting up anytime soon.
I wait for the others to leave ((unless they speak to me)) and then I go for a walk to think ((unconsciously following the man and women)).

I look at Wic for a moment then shrug. "Sure. Have fun."I let my locks out of the band holding them up and place the band around my wrist. "See you guys in a bit."I head off, giving the guy behind us a sidway glance before I go off to meet with Mike. ((OOC: Trey's a man, but his player, Moryssa, is female. ))

Wic glances once more at the man sitting behind them as he and Jessie walk out.
Once out they hail a cab and are on there way...

Jessie glances up, to make sure the driver can't hear the two of you.
Jessie: "Think the hunters pose any threat to us?"

He gives the driver an address a couple blocks from the Carnival Club.
"The chances of actually running into them is small, however," here he glances up at the driver briefly, then continues with his lips nearly touching her ear, "chances increase the longer we are all in the same city. I think it would be unwise to dismiss them out of hand. If they are smart, or diligent, or we are stupid or careless, they could find us. So, it behooves us to be cautious and remain alert.
"That said, if you do encounter them, assume they are well organized and have set a trap for you. Flee in a controlled manner, preferably in a way they would not expect. If you are feeling... foolish or brave, perhaps you can track them, call your friends or the authorities and prepare a counter-strike.
"Oh, a couple things. Make sure you never flee to your haven, just in case. Now would be a good time to establish some bolt holes I think is the term, extra havens ...and ...perhaps you should memorize my phone humber and remove it from your phone's memory." He smiles at her apoligetically, though it's hard to tell how feigned it is. Then, he goes about that task himself, inverting some of the numbers of the monsters phone numbers that are saved in his phone to throw off the hunters should they gain possession of it.

Jessie tries not to let out an involuntary shudder with Wic so close to her ear. It'd be rude, but she's seen the teeth before, and they creeped her out a bit.
"Yeah...I...er...thanks."
When you give the address to the driver, Jessie looks at you, momentarily suspicious, but quickly regaining confidence.
"Where are we going?"

Wic grins as he senses her discomfort, "To the place where I had the distinct pleasure of meeting you, if that is alright with you." After a pause, he continues, "We can go somewhere else, if that would make you feel more comfortable."

"No, that sounds good enough for me."
You drive on, looking out the window. Down an alley, you suddenly spot someone pinning a man to a wall. The pinned man turns slightly as you past, and you recognise the man sitting behind you from the meeting.

Burn blood for Vigor.
"Driver, stop the car now!" then to Jessie, "Our shadow from the meeting is in trouble." Wic is out of the car and running to the alley. When he gets close he'll slow down and go in quietly.
Is our hunting problem worse than we thought? Could they have been watching outside the meeting?

As you get close, Jessie following behind, you see the guy with the knife step back, peacefully, and stand for a second, while the guy picks himself up from the wall. Very quickly though, things go back to the way they were, the guy holding a knife out, pointed at the guy from the meeting. The man with the knife says something you can't quite catch.
The two of you are standing at the mouth of the alley.

Before you react, you watch as the two struggle. The man with the knife attempts to stab the other, but misses his target, just grazing his shoulder, and finds his arm grabbed by the man. The two struggle for a second or so, the armed man trying to get into a position where he can stab the other, and the other trying to gain control of the knife.
Eventually, the man with the knife breaks off, and staggers back.

Wic crouches behind something or ducks into a shadow and motions for Jessie to follow if she hasn't already. He then turns to her, makes a 'V' with his first two fingers and points at his eyes, then motions to the entrence of the alley while he silently mouths the words, "Watch our backs." Barring any unexpected reaction from Jessie, he continues to watch the struggle in the alley.
Wouldn't want to interupt a meal, nor pass up an oportunity for a boon... At least it seems relatively innocent from what I first thought.

There is a momentary pause, with both parties watching each other, waiting for a reaction, but then the guy with the knife starts backing towards the mouth of the alley, where you lurk, knife still pointed towards the other guy.

The guy from the meeting slowly moves after the guy, at the same time trying to get a better look into where you're ducked.
